Society artists Young-Nam Kim, Maria Jette, and Gary Bordner
will be joined by students from the Society's Summer Institute
in a program of unusual works and familiar holiday classics.
Jette and Bordner will perform James Ode's transcriptions
of three arias by Johann Sebastian Bach for soprano and trumpet.
Among them will be the well-known Let the Bright Seraphim. Jette
and Bordner also will join forces in works by George Frideric
Handel for soprano and trumpet. The program will conclude
with holiday favorites featuring trumpet solos. Everyone
is invited to bring a brown bag lunch and stay for all or
part of the one-hour program. |
